While there were many interesting replies, no long term fix was ever found. The best accuracy so far was +1.4s after 28 days, i.e. +0.5 s/d on average. The worst was -2.5 s/d over a week. However, an insufficient lubrication on the second pivot was reported as the reason for sudden drops in accuracy in some 3235 movements irrespectively of the watch model (DJs for example were affected too). The back of a 3235 dial has a rim underneath that hugs the movement and has no dial feet. The two movements use a different DW too so the date may not align in the date window - more likely an issue on the Sub than the DJ41 because the 126 Sub dial is slightly larger than the 116. There are no dial feet holes in the VR3235, so it looks made to accept a gen-spec (and VSF) 126610 dial and not a 3135 dial. This VR3235 is not made for the 126334, which has a larger diameter date indicator seating and larger diameter dial and datewheel. VR3235. VR3135 (note dial feet holes at 2:30 and 7:30)
113. 11/2/20. #1. Quick Review of a gen 3235 movement Ok guys, today I’m sharing some thoughts about the new 3235 movement, not sure whether there has been a review before or not. I recently acquired a gen 126300 with jubilee and blue dial. Originally I was searching for a 126334 but this came as a good deal and I catched it. Placed in line with the genuine Rolex Cal.3235 white gold deck technology, the balance wheel position is identical to the genuine Cal.3235 movement, the external gear is the same as the genuine Cal.3235 movement, all gears are real gear, not decorative, and The same genuine swing frequency, consistent energy storage (70 hours), the revised . One of the forum member regulated and waterproof it for me. Depending on the weather and watch position it runs within +3 ~ +5 a day. Personally I will not get it service. When my movement fail I'll just get a replacement movement. Hope by then VS movement will be available widely.
There’s two different date indicator seatings and two different date discs for 3235. One date indicator seating is smaller outer diameter and takes a smaller outer diameter date disc with the ‘centred font’. See below (picture is a 3285 date seating but you get the idea, same size dial as 126610, same date disc etc)
